Real case from practice

The Conwoman Mistress

A woman suspected her husband of cheating and first went to psychics. Our detectives found out more: the husband’s mistress was a con artist wanted by the police, and he was already taking out a loan for her…

Our agency was approached by a woman of about fifty. Her family was falling apart: her husband had long been seeing another woman, hiding his calls and contacting her from other people’s SIM cards. He had become withdrawn and secretive, was spending large sums from the family budget, and sometimes left without warning and disappeared for several days.

Psychics Instead of Facts

In despair, the woman first went to psychics and fortune tellers: she wanted to learn the truth and get her husband back. As usually happens, these “specialists” took her time and money but gave no result. Realizing she had hit a dead end, she came to us.

No Names, No Dates

Her story contained almost no leads: no name for the rival, no dates of meetings. The husband could leave at any moment and disappear for several days — a serious difficulty for surveillance. The detectives drew up a plan: to find the meeting places and establish who the woman was.

Who the Mistress Turned Out to Be

Surveillance made it possible to track the husband’s movements, find the meeting places and gather evidence of the affair. And then the main thing came out: the mistress was not at all who she claimed to be. She was a professional con artist already wanted in several cases.

She won people’s trust by playing the victim: “beautiful, poor, lonely, with no parents and no love”. Her goal was one thing — money. She constantly pushed the man to spend, and when the family money began to run out, she demanded more. The husband had already gone to the bank to take out a loan.

Behind the facade of an affair there may be a scam capable of bankrupting a family.

When an Affair Turns Into a Scam

An affair is painful, but a scam is also a direct blow to the family’s money. Be on your guard if your spouse suddenly spends large sums and cannot explain on what, takes out loans, sells valuables or asks relatives for money. Con artists know how to play on pity and a sense of duty, and a person who falls into their hands often doesn’t notice how he is being led into debt.

The Disaster That Didn’t Happen

We handed all the materials, including a full dossier on the mistress, to our client. She managed to stop a large loan from being taken out and passed the information about the con artist to the law enforcement agencies. The family that was being led toward bankruptcy was saved.

The woman herself realized that her visits to psychics had been a waste of time and money. When something incomprehensible is happening in a family, it is facts, not fortune-telling, that help.
